Boston Marathon Send Off Party

Community - a feeling of fellowship with others, as a result of sharing common attitudes, interests, and goals.

The Boston Marathon Send-Off Party was amazing! The running community came out to wish over 40 Charlotte area runners who will be toeing the line next Monday for the first Boston Marathon on Patriots' Day since 2019. The Charlotte Running Club & Destination Marathons partnered to host the event at Legion Brewing as an occasion not only to celebrate the accomplishment of the runners pictured here but to also provide an opportunity to make our running community stronger through fellowship.

This event could not have happened without the financial support from our membership and we appreciate every member who has joined CRC in the past. The Charlotte Running Club will continue to focus on ways to bring runners together through social events as we want our membership to include individuals with all levels of experience. Every event we host has been and will always be open to members & non-members. Inclusivity is so important as it fosters engagement and creates a sense of belonging.

Save 04-10-23 on your calendar as we will carry on this tradition next year!

Our mission: Building a Strong and Healthy Community Through Running

The Charlotte Running Club consists of passionate runners that strive to spread the love of running and to help each other grow. The Club's goal is to bring the expansive, diverse, and exciting Charlotte running community together under one umbrella through motivation, group runs, and social events.

Our club represents an incredibly diverse population, from lifelong competitive runners to couch-to-5k-ers and everyone in between. We all found running for different reasons and at different times in our lives, but we all now share a collective interest in making Charlotte a better place to run. Over the coming months and years, CRC is committed to helping to drive that transformation by connecting our members to:

  • Running Opportunities. From fun runs to workouts to races, we help connect runners to events and activities for runners of all ages and abilities.
  • Social Opportunities. You can't run all the time, so we provide fun and engaging opportunities for runners to socialize away from roads, tracks, and trails.
  • Community Involvement. Whether we're volunteering at a local park, coaching and mentoring with community running organizations, or advocating for runner safety, we strive to help make Charlotte a better place to run.
