  Join former CRC President Chad Champion every Wednesday @ 7am for a 4.3 mile trail run at Colonel Francis Beatty Park, a hidden gem in Matthews just south of 485. This free weekly trail run is open to everyone and registration is not required.

  Join us this Friday @ 6:15am for a 3 or 5 mile run at Summit Coffee OTP (On The Plaza).

  Turn by Turn directions will be provided so you can follow a safe well lit route through the Villa Heights neighborhood.

  As the days are getting shorter, please consider carrying a light or wearing a headlamp. The streets are well lit but it's good practice to wear something to be seen by passing vehicles.

  No major street crossings and no need to run on the sidewalks. We will also have routes available via RunGo so you can use the app on your phone or watch to guide you.

  After the run, stick around for some delicious coffee at Summit Coffee OTP. This is a great opportunity to meet other runners and make new friends.

  Run 5 times to earn a free Summit Coffee x CRC Klean Kanteen mug. You will be provided a punch card on your first visit. The mugs are back in stock so come out if you have a completed punch card!

• CRC LITTLE SUGAR CREEK GREENWAY RUN - OCTOBER EDITION

  The October edition of the Charlotte Running Club Little Sugar Creek Greenway Run will be Saturday October 21st @ 7:30am.

  For anyone who hasn't joined for this monthly run, this beautiful greenway goes south from Tyvola Road to the Polk Historic Site for nearly 7 miles and the new extension to Pineville Lake Park and beyond is now open for even more miles if you need them. There's no set distance for this run since you can turnaround at any point.

  We meet at the parking lot off Tyvola Rd (address below) and leave out just after 7:30am. Please arrive early to ensure you can find a spot in the parking lot. There’s plenty of additional parking across Tyvola at the Queens University Sports Complex as well. There will likely be some folks running early miles so feel free to bring a headlamp to get a head start.
  

  Water will be available at several spots along the greenway and at the start / finish. Pineville Lake Park at 8 miles has restrooms and water fountains.
  

  As much as we would like to, we cannot guarantee that all runners who come will match up on pace. Please feel free to bring a friend to run with!
  

  The Charlotte Running Club will continue to host a monthly gathering at the Tyvola Rd access to the LSC greenway and we encourage EVERYONE to attend no matter your level of experience or ability. Our runs and events are (and always will be) free for anyone to attend. Membership to the Charlotte Running Club is not required.
  

  If you want to support our effort to support the Charlotte running community, our annual membership fee is $20 a year for individuals, $30 for family, and $15 for Seniors & students. Your membership fee directly supports events held throughout the year by volunteers.
