This November 27, instead of shopping or nursing your turkey hangover, get out and run with Charlotte Running Club and Black Men Run! Over the course of 12 hours from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., we will be raising money for Let Me Run and Girls On The Run. Both of these tremendous youth organizations teach character lessons and healthy lifestyles through running.
The event is free and runners can come and go as they please. There will be a 4-mile mapped course which may be run as often as you want. Run solo or as a team and see how many miles you can put together. Ask your friends, family and neighbors to sponsor you and help you raise money for these great causes. We will be giving awards for top mileage for individuals and teams.
We realize that many of you are traveling for the Thanksgiving holiday, so you don’t have to be present to participate. Run “virtually,” wherever you are, and challenge yourself to see how many miles and how much money you can raise.
